Flash floods triggered by incessant rains killed at least 33 people in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, officials said Wednesday. "We have reports from Sitapur district that at least 32 people have been killed after houses collapsed following flash floods," said Amod Kumar, a magistrate in the district, about 90 kilometers (55 miles) north of Lucknow, the state capital.
