With the participation of President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Abdullah bin Fahad Al-Hussein, the 17th meeting of Directors General of news agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member States was opened here today. A speech ceremony was held. In his speech, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said that holding this meeting in Kuwait comes in the light of the exceptional circumstances experienced by the region, making it imperative for everyone's presence everywhere to professionally cover news events in a way aims to meet the aspirations of everyone. He also stressed the importance of the News Agencies World Congress due to be hosted by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that this Congress is of great importance not only for GCC member States, but for all Arab countries, wishing it all success for the development of Arab media.
