The Arab Foreign Ministers strongly condemned heinous crime which committed by using chemical weapons, banned internationally, in Syria. The council considered this crime as a defiance and disregard for moral and humanitarian values and international norms. In its decision today, the Arab League Council said that the Syrian regime bears full responsibility for the use of chemical weapons of this heinous crime, asking to bring those involved in this heinous crime to international fair trial. The Council also called for providing the required forms of support for the Syrian people to defend themselves and the need for concerted Arab and international efforts to help them. The Arab Foreign Ministers called upon the United Nations and the international community to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the UN Charter and the norms of international law to take deterrent measures against the perpetrators of this crime.
