Jordanian King Abdullah II received here today US Middle East Peace Envoy Martin Indyk, who is visiting Jordan as part of his tour to the region. During the meeting, they discussed peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis. The Jordanian King stressed that Jordan will continue its support to the efforts to tackle all final-status issues and establishment an independent Palestinian state and for such a state to live in security and peace alongside Israel, as per the two-state solution. The Jordanian King also cautioned against the negative and serious repercussions of the unilateral Israeli practices in Jerusalem on the future of the entire peace process.
