A strong earthquake of 6.7 magnitude occurred Tuesday in the Pacific Ocean near several Colombian cities and Panama, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said according to dpa. The earthquake struck about 100 kilometers west-southwest of Mutis, Colombia at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, USGS said. There were no immediate reports of damage, and the Alaska Tsunami Warning Center, which covers the eastern Pacific, said no tsunami warning was issued.
