Tourists hit with blackout on Greek island of Santorini

Tourists visiting the popular Greek island of Santorini faced a major power shortage on Tuesday after a fire broke
out at the island's main electricity plant, dpa reported.
The blaze, which took place at the peak of the tourist season,
left the entire island without electricity.
Officials said efforts were being made to restore power to
Santorini, and in the meantime electricity generators would be
brought by ferry from the mainland by early Wednesday.
