Six people were killed on Thursday when Indian paramilitary border police fired on a group of protesters in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir, AP quoted police sources as saying. Villagers from the town of Goal had gathered to protest an incident at a mosque Wednesday that led to injuries. They were in front of a Border Security Force (BSF) camp when the troops opened fire upon them. At least 22 people were injured in the Thursday incident. The condition of a further 10 was said to be serious, police sources said.
