President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine and US Secretary of State John Kerry will meet in the Jordanian capital Amman on Tuesday to discuss reviving peace talks with Israel, a senior Palestinian official said. "As of yet, I cannot talk about any progress," Yasser Abed Rabbo told Voice of Palestine radio, confirming Kerry's return to the region. Kerry, who is making his sixth trip to the region since March, has said that some progress had been made in his talks with Israeli and Palestinian leaders but more work needs to be done to revive talks stalled since 2010, according to a report of DPA. The Palestinians want Israel to stop all Jewish settlement construction in the West Bank and East Al-Quds (Jerusalem), occupied land they want for a future state. Israel says it wants to resume the talks without conditions.
