U.S Secretary of State John Kerry is meeting Israeli and Palestinian leaders to further explore options for re-launching stalled peace talks after President Barack Obama's Mideast trip this week. Following up on Obama's visits to Israel and the State of Palestine, the State Department said Kerry would see President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Saturday. After that meeting, Kerry will return to Al-Quds (Jerusalem) to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a report of the Associated Press. During his first trip to Israel and the State of Palestine as president, Obama called on Thursday for resumption in negotiations. He offered no new plan on how to get there but said Kerry would be spending considerable time on the matter.
