Saudi Arabian ambassador to Sudan Faisal bin Hamed Mualla today paid a get-acquainted visit to the village of Fadasi, central Sudan, the site of a giant holy Quran memorization, orphans care and needy relief center, an affiliate of Al-Majzoub Organization for the Service of the Holy Quran, financed by the Makkah-based Muslim World League and Riyadh-based World Assembly for Muslim Youths. During the visit, at an invitation of Professor Ahmed Mohammed Ali Al-Majzoub, Chairman of the Council of Trustees of Al-Majzoub Organization for the Service of the Holy Quran, which supervises the schools, the ambassador was briefed on the efforts exerted by the organization to adopt a number of orphans, educate holy Quran memorizers and reciters and help the poor. Al-Majzoub disclosed that his organization was granted a soft loan by the Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank to build a tower in Khartoum, the capital, and use its revenues to finance its Quranic service programs. He said the organization was able to establish Eqra College for Science and Technology in the capital and a number of Quranic schools throughout the country, including a Holy Quran Memorization Center for Females. For his part, the ambassador said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is paying great attention to the Holy Quran and its lessons, citing that it has established the world's largest Complex for the publishing of the Holy Quran named after late King Fahd in addition to a number of broadcasting stations working round the clock in the service of the holy Quran and Sunnah (prophet's sayings and deeds).
