President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi of Yemen received a telephone call this evening from Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who congratulated the President on the success of phase one of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and the launch of the second phase. The Yemeni News Agency (SABA), which carried the news, quoted Prince Saud Al-Faisal as telling the President that the breaking news are good omen on the way of Yemen's getting out of its crisis and difficult days and an indication to the success of the transitional period in view of the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism. Prince Saud Al-Faisal confirmed the Kingdom's support, in particular, and the GCC member states in general for Yemen to achieve a safe emergence from the tough circumstances which hit the country since early 2011 as the security, stability and unity of Yemen are of concern to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabi and the Arab peninsula and are, no doubt, integral part of the region's security. For his part, Hadi highly valued the good feelings and positive remarks made by Prince Saud Al-Faisal and lauded the fraternal positions of the Kingdom toward Yemen, citing the generous support ever provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for Yemen at critical times, particularly during the oil products need. He said the political stands supportive to Yemen by the Kingdom had their great impact and assisted to a great extent in the drive to solve the crisis and reach the current stunning outcomes in the way to execute a historical political settlement in Yemen according to the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism. He added that Yemen will depend to a great extent on the assistance of its supporters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council member states, and their constructive positions toward making the transitional period and reaching the forthcoming presidential elections a success.
