The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) slammed today the irresponsible statements made by Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister against Bahrain. In a statement today, the pan-Arab organization described the blatant statements as representing a direct threat to the safety of the people of Bahrain and an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of a full-fledged ALECSO-member country. ALECSO director-general voiced deep concerns over the detrimental repercussions of the Iranian threats on Bahraini people and students, as they all fear for their future as well the future of their educational, cultural and scientific establishments and various other projects. He urged the cultural, educational and scientific community in the Arab and Islamic nations to voice their full solidarity with Bahrain in defending its sovereignty and independence and protecting its religious, cultural and educational institutions in support of good neighborliness between the two countries and regional peace.
