Under the chairmanship of Egypt, the Arab League (AL) ministerial-level extraordinary session wrapped up here today in the presence of the AL Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi. The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani led the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting. The meeting condemned the violence orchestrating in Syria and the foreign interference in the Syrian territories, warning from the serious sliding towards which the Syrian crisis is diving and the use of heavy weapons and military aviation that shell villages and densely populated centers, citing the fight against the city of Al-qasair. The Council welcomes the call for Geneva 2 international conference on Syria to find a political negotiable solution to the impasse in Syria. The Council gave an account on the Arab vision for the solution of the crisis in Syria, including the preservation of Syria's territories, its social composition, the hierarchy of the State, its national institutions, the formation of an interim government for a fixed transitional period prior to the peaceful transition of power which will enjoy control over, even the army and security authority. The main objective of the transitional government is to draft a permanent constitution, the Arab foreign ministers meeting said.
