At the conclusion of its 137th ordinary session on the Syrian crisis chaired by Kuwait, the Arab League (AL) Council has demanded the UN Security Council to issue a resolution to immediately stop the acts of violence in Syria based on the Arab initiative. At a joint press conference held here today following the session with the AL Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait said that the meeting reaffirmed the Arab solution and expressed its regret over the insistence of Syrian government on going on its military actions against its own people. Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Sabah is the current chairman of the AL Council.
