The Foreign and Finance Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States held a joint meeting at the Conference Palace here today evening. Bahraini Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ghanim Al-Buainain, who is also the chairman of the current session of GCC Ministerial Council, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of cooperation among GCC countries, especially in light of the accelerated events in the Arab region. Al-Buainain said that the developments in Syria top our concerns, pointing out that interventions by some states aim at disrupting the will of Syrian people and dominating the Arab region.
