Saudi Arabia Supports All Efforts for Tackling Tragic Situation of Human Rights in Syria

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed its support for all regional and international efforts to mitigate the tragic human rights situation in Syria, including efforts exerted by the Human Rights Council of Saudi Arabia.
This came in the Kingdom's speech before the Human Rights Council during the special meeting to discuss the situation in Syria, delivered by Saudi ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva Dr. Abdulwahab Attar.
He said "today's meeting confirms the existing deteriorating the human rights situation in Syria. The reports on the situation in Al-Qusair town show that the Syrian forces waged a fierce war using airstrikes, missiles, heavy artillery and the most heinous types of killing, torture, rape, detention and other inhumane acts."
