Hurricane Barbara has formed in the Pacific and is moving toward Mexico's southern coast, the U.S. hurricane agency said Wednesday. The U.S. National Hurricane center in Miami, Florida, said that Barbara's maximum sustained winds are near 120 kilometers per hour (kph). The storm is expected to make landfall later Wednesday, the center said. A hurricane warning was issued in Mexico early Wednesday that covers an area in the Gulf of Tehuantepec from Puerto Angel to Barra de Tonala. As of 2:30 p.m. Washington time, the storm was roughly 105 kilometers east-southeast of Salina Cruz.
