Vice President of the Human Rights Commission Dr. Zaid Bin Abdul-Mohsen Al Hussein met here today with the Director of Human Rights Department of British Foreign Office, Luis de Souza and her accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed a number of topics related to the field of human rights in the two countries. For his part, Dr. Zaid reviewed human rights in Islam, stressing the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all that preserves human dignity and rights. In this regard, he cited the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, in supporting human rights and cooperation by states through dialogue and understanding to boost them away from politicizing or exploiting them. Dr. Zaid also highlighted the great support received by the Commission from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and detailed the Commission's efforts in the field of human rights. For her part, Luis de Souza spoke about the importance of cooperation between Britain and Saudi Arabia in the field of human rights, noting the progress taking place in the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
