Four people died and 11 were rescued after a tunnel collapsed in a mine in Indonesia's Papua province, a government official said Wednesday. Twenty-two workers were still trapped in an underground training area in part of a mine operated by the Indonesian unit of US-based Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc after the tunnel caved in Tuesday, a spokesman for the National Disaster Management Agency said. "Fifteen people have been evacuated, but four of them died," Sutopo Purwo Nugroho was quoted as saying by DPA. All of the survivors were in stable condition and one of them had been airlifted to Jakarta for further treatment, Freeport Indonesia said.
