The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its support for and full solidarity with the Republic of Tunisia in the security campaigns by the Tunisian security forces and army hunting terrorist elements in the Mount Chaambi region and other parts of Tunisia. In this regard, the OIC General Secretariat emphasized the need to preserve security and stability in Tunisia. It also expressed its wishes for quick recovery to members of the Tunisian security forces and army who sustained serious injuries during the operations. The General Secretariat on this occasion renewed its constant and principled position condemning all forms and manifestations of terrorism. It affirmed its categorical rejection of the terrorists' attempts to link their criminal activities with Islam, the religion of tolerance and enlightened moderation, which rejects violence, bigotry and extremism.
