The World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held here today the spring meeting, which was attended by members of delegations from the member countries of the WB and the IMF, representatives of the media, and visitors and special guests drawn primarily from private business, banking community and NGOs. The Kingdom's delegation to the meeting was led by Finance Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf. At the Spring Meeting, the joint WB-IMF Development Committee and the IMF's International Monetary and Financial Committee hold meetings to discuss progress on the work of the Bank and Fund. Also featured are seminars, regional briefings and press conferences, focused on the global economy, international development, and the world's financial markets.
