Al-Hadeel, the monthly Lebanese magazine, said in its recent edition that the vision of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques on Al-Janadriyah, instructing relevant authorities to hold an annual cultural and heritage festival to reflect and urge preservation of the Saudi folklore now turned to be a full-fledged cultural regional and international event. An article by editor-in-chief Bassm Afifi said National Festival For Heritage and Culture "Al-Janadriyah festival", was initially a platform for the Saudi folklore. However several years later it started to emerge in an Arab Gulf peoples cultural and heritage stage. Now, in its 28th year old, the festival is inviting China as a guest of honor, the writer noted, citing the last previous three guests of honor: France, Japan, and South Korea. He said prominent thinkers, intellectuals, artists, poets, and writers were flocking to Al-Janadriyah on the outskirts of Riyadh to further enrich the event which now developed to be one of the most leading cultural events worldwide.
