Awwal 09, 1432 / April 13, 2011, SPA -- Dr. Abdulhameed Mohammed Hawas, Consultant of the Folklore Research and the High Institute for Popular Arts and Artistic Criticism of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who is an official guest of the 26th Janadriyah National Festival for Heritage and Culture, considered the event a precious opportunity for Arab intellectuals to exchange their cultural output. Interviewed by the Saudi Press Agency, he said Janadriyah has turned to be a factor of cultural unification among Arab and non-Arab countries. Hawas praised the selection of a non-Arab guest of honor, in reference to Japan, as contributing to forging cultural dialogue among nations. He said dialogue will not be achieved through talk only but through changing the stereotypical profile which is memorized by any nation or culture about the other. Dr. Hawas emphasized the importance of Janadriyah renewing its dialogue patterns every year to match with the changes and dialogues to be presented on the table with all segments of the society so as to achieve the goals of Janadriyah.
