Janadriyah, outskirts of Riyadh, Jumada I 27, 1434, Apr 8, 2013, SPA -- Dr. Hamid Kerhela, leader of the Comoro Islands delegation to the 28th National Festival for Heritage and Culture, expressed thanks to the event's organizers to offer him an opportunity to take part in the festival. In remarks to the Saudi Press Agency following a symposium in which he was a key speaker at Al-Janadriyah festival, Dr. Kerhela said the festival has become an important tributary of civilization and embodied the folkloric, cultural and social dimensions of the Saudi identity in its capacity as custodian of the two holy mosques and home of Islamic pilgrimage every year. He added that the event now attracts a prominent number of Arab, Islamic and international elites, thinkers, intellectuals, artists and media leaders, reflecting the great care the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was rendering to culture and heritage. He also paid tribute to the efforts exerted by Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Commander of the National Guard, who is also Chairman of the Supreme Committee of Al-Janadriyah festival, making it an Arab civilizational event that contributes to the promotion of the Arab culture within an international context.
