U.S. stocks closed lower Friday, breaking a four-day winning streak. The dollar gained strength against the euro and the pound, but lost ground versus the yen. Light sweet crude oil for May delivery dropped $2.22 to $91.29 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Gold futures lost $63.50 to $1,501.40 an ounce. The Dow Jones industrial average slipped 0.08, or 0 percent, to 14,865.06. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 4.52, or 0.28 percent, to 1,588.85. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index dropped 5.21, or 0.16 percent, to 3,294.95.
