Serbia will not sign an EU-brokered proposal for normalizing ties with Kosovo, but will ask Brussels for the dialogue to continue, Deputy Premier Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday. "We will not sign, but we will continue the dialogue," Vucic said after a meeting of his Serbian Progressive Party, the largest in parliament. "I am very disappointed with the EU offer - but does it mean that we should close the door to EU? This party will not do that," he said. According to dpa, Vucic said that the Serbian government will seek a resumption of talks with Kosovo. Prime Minister Ivica Dacic's cabinet is set to meet in the afternoon to formulate the formal response to EU.
