Mayor of Makkah Dr. Osama bin Fadhl Al-Bar has signed a consultative process contract for the preparation of the Atlas of the holy city of Makkah and the holy sites with a specialized consulting office, at Umm Al-Qura University. Al-Bar said that the total cost of the project amounted to SR 1,450,000 and is scheduled for completion within a period of eight months. The project's tasks were assigned to a specialized office at Umm Al Qura University in order to prepare the detailed maps of the holy city of Makkah.
