About 12 consultative and planning bodies are putting finishing touches to a new map of the Central Area in Makkah which takes into account all the changes over the past few years. The new map is also going to be used to help with future developments. It takes into consideration all the topographic changes in the Central Area. The map has been designed as a link between executors of field plans and service sites. The map also takes into consideration the density in certain areas of pilgrims during the Haj and Umrah seasons. Meanwhile, the government and private agencies in Makkah have launched the final stage of its plan for Ramadan, under the direct supervision of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Emir of Makkah and Chairman of the Haj Central Committee. The plan is being carried out by about 50,000 security employees from various service sectors. The precautionary plan is being led by Brigadier Jameel Arbaeen, the Director of the Civil Defense Administration. He said there are 250 ambulatory teams stationed inside the Holy Haram, 85 medical evacuation teams, and eight emergency teams to deal with urgent cases. He said more than 4,200 officers and non-commissioned officers from the Civil Defense have been deployed at all strategic points leading to the Grand Mosque. Over 800 machines and four helicopters have been secured by the administration as part of the operation. The General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, has started to deploy 5,702 male and female cleaners and operation and maintenance teams. Also, a number of teams are conducting inspections around-the-clock. The General Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah said it has worked out an integrated health plan to provide the best health and therapeutic services to worshippers. Dr. Khaled Bin Obaid Dhafr, Director of Health Affairs in Makkah, said there are now five health centers at the Grand Mosque. This is in addition to 29 health centers open around-the-clock in various districts in Makkah. Dr. Osama Al-Bar, Makkah's mayor, said the mayoralty has mobilized more than 8,500 workers with 810 cleaning machines. It also has 195 insecticide teams to fight rodents and insects. Meanwhile, researchers are being asked to come up with ways to create messages that will counter the negative attitude to government services held by pilgrims and visitors to the city. Prince Khaled has asked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Institute for Haj Research at Umm Al-Qurra University to carry out the study to design these messages. Prince Khaled stressed the importance of coordination on this matter among the ministries of Haj, Social Affairs and Culture and Information, and the Makkah Mayoralty.
