Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shiekh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has called for the importance of serious cooperation to spread the values of dialogue, tolerance and moderation as well as confidence-building and peace-loving among different cultures, peoples and countries as there is no way out but through dialogue among the followers of religions and civilizations things will go smoothly. Addressing the 128th General Assembly of the International Parliament Union, ongoing in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito, Al Al-Sheikh said, due to the strenuous efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Dialogue among followers of religions and cultures in the Austrian capital, Vienna, was opended in collaboration with the Kingdom of Spain and the Republic of Austria, on November 26, 2012. He gave an account on the efforts exerted by the Saudi authorities inside to spread the culture of dialogue, citing the establishment, several years ago, of King Abdullah Center for National Dialogue, upgrading the educational curricula, spreading illiteracy programs, provision of job opportunities, technical and vocational training, scholarship of more than 150,000 female and male students to all continents of the world, the participation of women in the Shura Council with 20% of its membership, their participation in the coming rural councils membership. --More 23:45 LOCAL TIME 20:45 GMT تغريد
