The patrols of Border Guards in Jazan region foiled, during the last month, many smuggling attempts of 45485 kinds of various ammunition, 575 different weapon, two kilo gram of powder, large amounts of drugs as well as 3027 head of cattle. The border guards also managed to arrest 27845 infiltrators and 494 smugglers. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Border Guards Commander in Jazan region, Major General Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Al-Subhi commended the great efforts exerted by the border guards to maintain the security of the border by land and sea, which culminated in the seizure of those prohibited items.
