AlHijjah 22, 1433, Nov 7, 2012, SPA -- Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmad bin Mohammad Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, held a press conference here this evening following the 125th session of the Ministerial Meeting of GCC Foreign Ministers and the joint GCC-Jordanian and the GCC-Moroccan meetings. During the press conference, the Bahraini Minister hailed the efforts of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, when he chaired the last session, contributing to the development of the GCC joint action. He praised the efforts being exerted by the GCC Secretary General in the development of the GCC work in order to achieve the aspirations and hopes of GCC peoples. The Bahraini minister also praised the GCC' stance with Bahrain in condemning terrorist acts suffered by the Kingdom recently. Asked about when GCC Union will be declared, he explained that the announcement will be in an extraordinary summit in Riyadh.
