Editorials in today's Saudi newspapers' highlighted a number of current issues. On local issues, Al-Sharq newspaper commented on a decision to double subsidies to Saudi patients saying that it highlights Saudi leaders' support for Saudi patients calling on the Ministry of Health to facilitate the provision of necessary help ordered by the leaders to the patients. Al-Bilad newspaper highlighted preparations for celebrating Madinah as the capital of Islamic culture 2013 and patronage of these festivities by Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense. Al-Watan newspaper noted the important role being played by Majlis Al-Shura saying that governmental institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have come to increasingly and heavily rely on the Majlis Al-Shura to assist in the enactment of legislation and issuing decisions that concern citizens and push forward the wheel of development. --More
