Saudi newspapers' editorials for today highlighted a number of current issues. Al-Sharq newspaper explained that "a gradual reform process" is a mechanism to bring about change in both political and social fields, provided that the change is 'smooth, quiet and safe.' It added that the gradual reform process should take into account the peculiarity of the society, preserve its cohesion and make it more likely to accept the patterns of evolution. Okaz newspaper highlighted Majlis Al-Shura's first meeting of the new session tomorrow saying that the Majlis Al-Shura represents a group of men and women chosen by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud on the basis of efficiency and representation of the Saudi society. It added that the job of the Majlis Al-Shura is 'consultation' and its responsibility is very important in supporting the efforts of the leader of the country. --More
