U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will make a tour of a number of countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the period from February 24 to March 6 in the first external activity after assuming his new post. The Spokeswoman of U.S. State Department Victoria Nuland said in a statement today that Kerry will visit Saudi Arabia in the first week of next March within a tour including Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Egypt , the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. She pointed out that during his visit to Riyadh, the U.S. Secretary of State will discuss with Saudi officials cooperation between the two countries and issues of common concern; and he will participate in a ministerial meeting with his counterparts of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States.
