The United States said Friday that it is making progress on the Bilateral Security Agreement negotiations with Afghanistan. In a telephone call with Afghan President Karzai, Secretary John Kerry “discussed the progress our negotiators are making in the Bilateral Security Agreement negotiations," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters. Kerry “emphasized the United States' ongoing strong support for a stable and secure Afghanistan, and he reaffirmed [the U.S.] commitment to reconciliation and the role of the Afghan High Peace Council," Nuland said.
