The United States called on Yemen last night to bring about an immediate transfer of power and urged all parties to halt the violence after a week of bloody clashes. A spokeswoman of the U.S. State Department Victoria Nuland said that her country supports the call of the Cooperation Council For the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) to send a Committee to investigate the circumstances of the killing of civilians, noting that the Yemeni people have suffered enough and deserves a unified, stable and secured Yemen.
