Saudi newspapers' editorials focused today on a number of issues led by the 3rd Arab Economic and Social Development Summit which began in Riyadh on Monday. Al-Watan newspaper highlighted the call by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during the Arab economic and social development summit in Riyadh to increase the capital of Arab financial institutions by not less than 50% and the willingness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to contribute its share for this increase provided there is an agreement in this respect. The newspaper said that the King's call is in line with the historic role of the Kingdom in supporting Arab development especially in the least developed countries. Al-Yaum newspaper said the King's call is based on his great care for the interests of Arabs and their future. The newspaper highlighted Saudi efforts to unify Arabs and boost their joint cooperation. --More
