Saudi newspapers focused in their editorials today on the Kingdom"s budget amounting to SR 540 billion for fiscal year 1431/1432H, announced on Monday by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In their editorials on the state"s general budget, Al-Jazirah, Al-Riyadh, Al-Yaum, Al-Watan, Al-Nadwah, and Al-Madinah newspapers pointed out that the budget confirms the success of the financial policy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and that the global economic crisis has not impacted any negative consequences on the Saudi economy. The papers noted that the budget has given top priority and shown great interest to the educational sector to qualify citizens to be effective elements in their country to keep abreast of the great developments during the prosperous era of the King, adding that work will continue on the implementation of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Project for Education Development in addition to expanding the capacity of schools, universities and specialized colleges. The papers indicated that the budget allocated generous amounts to health sector, municipal services, transportation, water and agriculture, stressing that citizens will enjoy further prosperity and progress, thanks to the wise policy of the Saudi leadership. --MORE
