10 Killed in Ethnic Clashes in Kenya

Ten people were killed on Thursday in ethnic
clashes in the restive Tana River region on Kenya's coast, dpa quoted the Red
Cross as saying.
Kenya has stationed 1,000 paramilitary troops in the area in an
effort to prevent attacks between the Pokomo and Orma ethnic groups,
who have fought for generations over land rights and access to water.
Nine people were killed in violence there on Tuesday.
