Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas, particularly the celebrations of Madinah as Islamic Cultural Capital for the Year 2013, and the situation in Syria. Al-Bilad newspaper commented on the celebrations of Madinah as Islamic Cultural Capital for the Year 2013 saying the cultural and scientific programs and activities to be hosted by Madinah will start 8th Rabie I for one year, including conferences, seminars, lectures and competitions that highlight the cultural and civilization status of the city of Madinah.
