Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense chaired the Cabinet's session held at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the Cabinet prayed to Almighty Allah to crown with success the efforts of the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States at the 33rd Summit of the Supreme Council scheduled in the Kingdom of Bahrain later today to achieve more accomplishments that deepen the Council's successful march, praising the roles of the Council in the enhancement of cohesion and solidarity between its states, governments and peoples. The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet dealt with a number of local topics and latest developments at regional and international arenas. He noted that the Cabinet stressed the State's interest to preserve the cultural and civilization heritage of the Kingdom, including architectural heritage, which represents the identity of states and cities, and depicts an important part of their history and culture, commending in this respect the role played by Lifetime Achievement Award in Architectural Heritage provided by Charitable Heritage Foundation. --More
