The Information Spokesman of Directorate General of Civil Defense in the Eastern Region, Colonel Ali Al-Qahtani said that at 10:30 a.m. today, a fire broke out in one of the tanks containing benzene and diesel mixture at Environment Development Limited Company in "Industrial Jubail 2", while workers were conducting maintenance and welding, which led to the outbreak of the fire in the tank and its spreading to another tank. Colonel Al-Qahtani pointed out that the incident resulted in six deaths for workers of foreign nationalities, stressing that the fire was brought under control completely by fire brigades.
