A small Russian plane caught fire Sunday during a crash landing in West Siberia, injuring eight people, authorities said. The incident occurred at about 12:10 p.m. when an Antonov An-2 biplane made an emergency landing after a takeoff in the Sovetsky district of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, RIA Novosti reported. "According to updated information, eight persons were taken to hospital after the An-2 plane made a crash landing. The plane passengers are members of the local aero club who boarded the plane for parachute jumping," UPI quoted the regional emergency center as saying. No one was killed in the incident.
