The Royal Court said in a statement issued today that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud underwent on Saturday, Muharram 3, 1434AH a surgery in the back where the looseness in the ligament in the upper back was tightened at King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh. Emanating from the principle of transparency pursued by the King, preparations for the surgery started and tests were conducted after Zuhur (Noon) prayer on Saturday, Muharram 3, 1434 AH and continued until 4:35 p.m. Then, the surgery started and completed at 3:15 a.m., Sunday morning, Muharram 4, 1434 AH. Praise be to Allah, the surgery was successful. May Allah preserve the King from any harm and bestow good health and recovery upon him, the statement said.
