AlHijjah 29, 1433, Nov 14, 2012, SPA -- The Chiefs of Staff of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States held here today the 10th session of the Supreme Military Committee. The meeting was chaired by General Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qubil, Chief of General Staff. In his address to the meeting, Al-Qubil welcomed the participants and conveyed greetings of the Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, and Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense, to them. He stressed that this meeting came to enhance cooperation among GCC states in order to achieve security and stability in the GCC countries. The meeting discussed ways of enhancing joint training and defense integration among the member countries. The participants also discussed an idea of establishing Supreme Defense and Security Institute of the GCC countries. The GCC Chiefs of General Staff also reviewed march of joint military and defense cooperation in all fields. Later, the Ministry of Defense held a dinner party in honor of the GCC Chiefs of Staff.
