AlHijjah 18, 1433, Nov 3, 2012, SPA -- Six people were injured, two seriously, on Saturday when a gas cylinder exploded at a bakery near the northern city of Irbid, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD). CDD Spokesman Col. Farid Al Sharea said fire squad and rescue teams rushed to the site in the town of Hartha and tackled the blaze triggered by the cylinder that was placed close to the heat causing it to explode. Medics had offered first aid to the injured and evacuated them to the nearby Yarmouk Hospital, while those in critical condition were transferred to the Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid, Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted CDD spokesman as saying.
