AlHijjah 13, 1433, Oct 29, 2012, SPA - U.S. President Barack Obama canceled an appearance at a campaign event in Florida Monday because of Hurricane Sandy, the White House said. "Due to deteriorating weather conditions in the Washington area, the President will not attend today's campaign event in Orlando. The president will return to the White House to monitor the preparations for and early response to Hurricane Sandy," White House press secretary Jay Carney said in a statement quoted by the United Press International (UPI).
