AlHijjah 12, 1433, Oct 28, 2012, SPA - The numbers of pilgrims this year increased by eight per cent compared to the previous year, according to Director General of the Statistics and Information Department Muhanna Bin Abdul-Karim Al-Muhanna. He said that 64.3 per cent of pilgrims were male and 35.7 per cent were female. Meanwhile, a report published today by the Jeddah-based Saudi Gazette said 300 workers of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs are working day and night to make sure that the courtyards of the Holy Mosque in Makkah and nearby facilities are ready to receive pilgrims.
