AlHijjah 11, 1433, Oct 27, 2012, SPA - The Minister of Transport, Dr. Jubarah bin Eid Al-Suraiseri stressed that the Ministry has completed most of infrastructure projects in the holy sites, and it is currently working on the construction of several ring-roads in Makkah and the accomplishment of Al-Harameen Al-Sharifeen (Two Holy Mosques) Train. In an interview with Al-Ekhbariyah Channel yesterday, Dr. Al-Suraiseri explained that the Ministry's works for the service of pilgrims are not limited to the holy sites only, but they include Makkah which is part of the holy sites, indicating that the Ministry has projects there including Second and Third Ring- Roads at total costs of more than SR 2 billion. He emphasized that the Train Project is very large and strategic including the establishment of a fast electric train line of 450 kilometers length linking Makkah, Jeddah and Madinah with a speed exceeding 300 kilometers per hour. Dr. Jubarah pointed out that the project will be implemented in three phases and 100 kilometers of the train line project have been completed.
