Germany Backs Ibrahimi Ceasefire Plan for Syria

AlHijjah 4, 1433, Oct 20, 2012, SPA -- Germany confirmed its baking up of a Ceasefire plan for Syria drafted by Joint U.N.-Arab League envoy to Syria Lakhdar Ibrahimi, to be prevailed during the forthcoming Eid.
Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs Judo Westerphelle expressed Germany's absolute support for the plan, urging the opposing sides to accept the proposal.
For its part, Algeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a similar statement, extending Algeria's support for Ibrahim's proposal to ceasefire during Eid.
